PROFESSIONAL CONVERSION PROGRAMMES

As part of the Adapt and Grow initiative to provide greater support for mid-career Professionals, Managers, Executives and Technicians (PMET) jobseekers, WSG has developed the Professional Conversion Programmes (PCPs) for Food Services Executives, which covers various food services roles such as Assistant Chefs and Restaurant Managers.

Once you are successfully hired through the PCP for Food Services Executive, you will have the opportunity to join established food services companies as a Management Trainee, Assistant Restaurant Manager or equivalent. Once you complete the programme, you will have the opportunity to progress to senior managerial roles such as Restaurant Manager, depending on your individual performance.

The PCPs for the Food Services sector aim to help mid-career PMETs re-skill with the necessary competencies to embark on a career in Food Services. It will include classroom and On-the-Job Training (OJT) components so as to facilitate and enhance the employability for those looking to switch their careers and take on jobs as Assistant Chefs.
