MEET OUR INTERNATIONAL ALUMNI

Chef Adrian Winoto, Chef and co-owner of Confit

"Working as a chef gives me a lot of freedom to express myself. Combining techniques, ingredients and flavours are three elements that excite me every day. That’s the liberty of being a chef."

Chef Woojae Park, Chef-owner of Twins

"Thanks to a friend’s suggestion to enrol in At-Sunrice and with a lot of hard work, I’ve opened Twins Korean restaurant with my brother. My advice to students? Plan properly as the first few months in school will be tough – but worth it!"

Chef Bettina Arguelles, Chef De Cuisine of Intercontinental Singapore Robertson Quay

"At-Sunrice has equipped me with well-rounded skills set in both Western and Asian culinary styles, which has been a tremendous advantage to my work endeavours."

WHY STUDY IN SINGAPORE

Known to many as the food capital of Asia, Singapore offers a mélange of cuisines from all over the world. Not only does this city serve up the best of East and West cuisines, its vibrant culinary scene is bolstered by international events like the annual World Gourmet Summit and the Singapore Food Festival.

Recently, the 2017 Michelin Guide Singapore was unveiled and saw two of our alumni’s restaurants on the coveted list. A new entry is Han Li Guang’s Restaurant Labyrinth, an innovative spin on traditional Singaporean dishes, while Malcolm Lee’s Peranakan restaurant Candlenut makes a return to the list.
