S$4.72 MILLION WSQ CULINARY SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE IN 2008
FOR SINGAPOREANS AND PERMANENT RESIDENTS

ABOUT WSQ
The Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) system is a national continuing education and training framework, designed to facilitate adult learning. It makes skills upgrading more accessible and provides career progression pathways for the workforce. WSQ is developed by the WDA in consultation with industry partners.

The WSQ Culinary Scholarship is offered for two of At-Sunrice’s diploma courses – Diploma in Culinary Craft & Service Excellence (DCCSE) and Diploma in Pastry and Baking Arts (DIPB).

The scholarship scheme will contribute in 2 ways *:

  1. 50% subsidy of your course fees or up to $11,700 (whichever is lower)
  2. Co-funded training allowance up to 50% capped at $600 monthly for 12 months

The total scholarship scheme worth up to S$18,900 per student is open to all Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents. Recipients will be required to remain in F&B employment for 12 months after graduation.

Graduates will also receive the following WSQ certifications #:

Diploma in Culinary Craft & Service Excellence (DCCSE)

Diploma in Pastry & Baking Arts (DIPB)

  1. WSQ Certificate in F&B Service
  2. WSQ Certificate in Food Preparation
  3. WSQ Higher Certificate in Culinary Skills
  4. WSQ Advanced Certificate in Culinary Skills
  1. WSQ Higher Certificate in Culinary Skills (Bakery & Pastry)
  2. WSQ Advanced Certificate in Culinary Skills (Bakery & Pastry)

* applicable for students enrolled after 14 April 2008 only

# graduates are only issued WSQ certifications after successfully attaining passing grades in the 70 percentile and above
