FOR SINGAPOREANS AND PERMANENT RESIDENTS

ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is in partnership with the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA), Singapore Chefs’ Association (SCA), Fonterra and USA Poultry & Egg Export Council (USAPEEC).

Offered under the Singapore Workforce Skills Qualification (WSQ), the scholarship is open to all Singaporeans and Permanent Residents with a passion for culinary, drive to excel and plans to carve a career in the F&B industry.

Under this scholarship, the academy delivers the Diploma in Culinary Craft and Service Excellence (DCCSE).

Upon completion of the scholarship program, scholarship recipients will

have learnt the fundamentals of Eastern and Western cuisines from a global chef faculty of eight countries
have had more than one year of professional kitchen experience
receive four professional certifications

WSQ Certificate in Food Preparation
WSQ Higher Certificate in Culinary Skills
WSQ Advanced Certificate in Culinary Skills
At-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy Diploma in Culinary Craft and Service Excellence

Eligibility

All F&B establishments with membership to SCA (Singapore Chefs’ Association)
Candidates with a minimum of 6 months commercial kitchen experience
Candidates must be 18 years and above
Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 ‘O’ levels, or obtain Level 5 on the WSQ-ESS (Workforce Skills Qualifications Employability Skills System) Workplace Literacy and Numeracy modules
Male candidates must have already completed or be exempt from National Service

Selection Process
Upon submission of applications, only shortlisted candidates will undergo

a series of interviews with the selections committee made up of officials from WDA, SCA and Fonterra
a panel interview with At-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy made up of the academy’s admissions committee

Both successful applicants and their company sponsors will be notified of their selection.
