WGS AWARDS OF EXCELLENCE AT-SUNRICE WSQ EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIPS

ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP
In an effort to champion culinary excellence, two new education scholarships are being offered by At-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy and Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) on the World Gourmet Summit (WGS) Awards of Excellence platform.

- WGS Awards of Excellence At-Sunrice-WSQ Culinary Arts Education Scholarship
- WGS Awards of Excellence At-Sunrice-WSQ Pastry and Bakery Arts Education Scholarship

The above scholarships will be of 17-months duration, encompassing classroom learning, hands-on practicum and apprenticeship. The scholarships are to provide budding culinary and pastry professionals with the opportunity to build a career pathway, capitalising on government initiatives that are established to promote training to fresh entrants to the culinary industry. The scholarship is open to all Singaporeans and Permanent Residents with a passion for culinary, drive to excel and plans to carve a career in the F&B industry.

Application opens from 1 December 2011 to 3 February 2012.

Panel interview from 23 February 2012 to 28 February 2012.

Eligibility

Only Singaporeans and PRs are eligible for the WGS Awards Of Excellence At-Sunrice WSQ Education Scholarships.
Applicants must be between 18 years and above.
These scholarships are open to High School Diploma holders and above.
Singapore males must have completed or be completely exempted from National Service.
Applicants must be able to speak, read and write English, or must have attained a minimum of Level 4 in the ES WSQ (Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualifications) programme.
Shortlisted applicants are required to go through a panel interview.

Evaluation Process

Applicants are required to submit their completed E-application forms along with all necessary documents attached.
All applicants are required to go through a personality test. Only shortlisted applicants will be notified and are required to go through a panel interview from At-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy, Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) and Ala Carte Productions between 23 February 2012 to 28 February 2012.
