At-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy is proud to confer its 2008 GlobalChef© Award to four stellar and iconic chef recipients at the World Gourmet Summit’s (WGS) Pebeyre Truffle Dinner hosted by the Grand Hyatt Hotel on Tuesday 22 April 2008.

Inspiring young chefs with a mission to pursue the global chef path, the award holds a special significance this year as it comes amidst the academy’s new brand positioning. Conferred annually during the WGS in Singapore, including this year’s recipients the GlobalChef© Award would have been conferred to 22 chefs from 13 countries since 2005.

The 2008 GlobalChef© Award recipients are
1. “Picasso of pastry”, French pastry chef and icon Pierre Hermé of Pierre Hermé Paris
2. One of Tokyo’s highest rated chefs and creator of his own “cuisine spontanée” Kiyomi Mikuni of Mikuni Restaurants
3. Recent WGS Chef of the Year and WSQ Mentorchef of the Year Patrick Heuberger of Au Petit Salut
4. Multiple award winner, “designer, artist, gardener and sometimes missionary” Rudolf Muller of Disney Hong Kong
